Detox bath soaks are my new fav. If you've never done one, you need to, like asap. Epsom salt is actually not salt but magnesium sulfate. Which research suggests might be the single most important nutrient for human health, and chances are you're not getting enough. Detox bath soaks are a great way to absorb magnesium. Add essential oils to the mix and you have a recipe for relaxation, reducing occasional head and muscle tension, increasing concentration, helping itchy skin, and promoting a healthy immune system by flushing out toxins.
How Much To Use:
Use 1/2 cup of Epsom salt per 50lbs. of your body weight. I use 1.5 cups Epsom Salt for my body size. Then try adding 3-4 drops essential oil for children and up to 10 drops of essential oil for adults. Start with fewer drops and work your way up. Optional: adding Baking Soda helps neutralize the water, add 1 cup Baking soda to your bath.
Add your favorite essential oils to your Epsom salt and shake together in a mason jar. Pour into hot bath and soak for 20-30 minutes. Add a cute label and give as a gift to friends, teachers and coworkers.
